Labor Day Weekend Recap

Happy Monday Loves!

I hope you all had an amazing and RELAXING Labor Day Weekend! We had a busy but fun weekend and I wanted to do a little recap for you…

Friday started with some good naps for miss Harper…which is always a win and there’s not much better than a sleeping baby šŸ˜ so I had to share.

. . . .

I worked at the hospital Friday night (for those of you that don’t know, I work part time as a labor and delivery nurse…something I hope to share more about in the future). It was a crazy busy night but thankfully I have an awesome team so things ran smoothly, AND I got to help bring 5 little babes into the world. I truly love my job and it is such a privilege.

I work night shift simply because it’s best for my own babies. They stay home with my hubby while I’m at work and then I come home and take care of them while slipping in slivers of sleep during nap times whenever I can. Is it hard? SO. HARD. But, it works for us and it’s only temporary. Before I know it they will all be in school and I will sleep again. But for now….I’ll take my tiny babes and even tinier sleep šŸ˜‰.

. . . .

So I came home Saturday morning, slept about 3 hours, and then got up because it was opening day of…. DOVE HUNTING SEASON. šŸ˜‚ Honestly, this is the first time I’ve personally hunted anything myself. I’ve tagged along with the hubby years ago, before kids, but this was a first for me. He loves it so I figured it would be something fun for us to do together and some great friends invited us to go with them. It turned out to be a ton of fun and I enjoyed the challenge. I surprised myself when I actually got a few birds and I was extremely thankful no one made me clean any! šŸ™ˆ

I figured boots, magnolia shirt, and monogram camo hat…perfect hunting outfit, yes?

. . . .

Sunday brought a day full of wine. šŸ· We headed to the wine country of Texas to start birthday celebrations for my Mom ā¤ļø. Some of our best friends recently opened their own ADORABLE tasting room for their incredible wines in Johnson City, TX called Crowson Wines. So of course, we stopped there first. If you are ever around Johnson City or Fredericksburg area, you HAVE to stop by! Henry knows EVERYTHING there is to know about wine and is so fascinating to listen to because he is so passionate about it. They take a very natural approach to wine making that is unique and truly delicious.

The babes tagged along for this wine tasting tour so we had a few pit stops along the way. Overall they were SO good and I’m thankful there were no major meltdowns in the middle of a winery. šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ Nursing pit stop for miss H…go ahead baby girl, not like that hair is attached or anything! šŸ¤£

We then stopped by one of our favorites, Becker Vineyards. They have an incredible patio to sit and relax and let the kids play. Their flower fields were blooming and made for some sweet, “insta-perfect” photos.

While my hubby is a great one, he does get tired of me begging him to take a million photos, as most men would…so thankfully my mom was around and willing. So I got a few fun photos in the vines! šŸ˜

. . . .

Today [Monday] is my Mama’s actual birthday, so we continued the celebrations at her house where I made a [huge] chocolate cake and the girls got to swim and play with cousins. It was a perfect ending to a fun weekend.

. . . .

However, now I feel like I need a weekend to get over my long holiday weekend…anyone else?? The house is a wreck because we were gone most of the weekend, there’s dishes to be done and laundry to be washed and lunches to be packed. But instead of doing all of that, here I sit, on the couch, watching Bachelor In Paradise. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸ’šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸ‘ŒšŸ¼. There’s always tomorrow. We simply cannot do it all.

I hope you all have an amazing week!

With so much love,

Sarah
